Community Outreach

CHILDREN’S MONEY JAR: The money collected is used to help families at Christmastime.

Food and Emergency Aid - We provide food on a monthly basis to the New Emergency Resource Agency at 112 S First St.  Albright UMC maintains a Blessing Box on the west side of the church with food and personal care items.

The Child Development Center - We support with our finances and volunteer work this important ministry to children in our community. If you would like to read to a child or do other volunteer work, please phone 765-7532,

BRIDGEWAY: a half-way house for Oklahoma Department of Corrections inmates approaching release from the system.  Items needed toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, soap, razors, shaving cream, deodorant, as well as some basic clothing needs (boxer underwear, tee shirts and socks).

Cookson Hills - We support the work of Cookson Hills Center United Methodist Mission, a mission project to the Cherokee Indians, located in Cookson Hills, Oklahoma. Their programs include a thrift shop, craft shop, food pantry, Snac 'n Pacs for school children, volunteer summer work camps,  and other special projects.  For more information, check out Cookson Hills.

Connectional Giving (apportionments) - We fully support the United Methodist Church's concept of being a connectional church. Together, with all the United Methodist Churches around the world, we can do far more for the Kingdom of God than we could ever do alone. We support the work of the General Church and the Oklahoma Conference, the work of the North Central District (including the campus ministries at Oklahoma State University and Northern Oklahoma College).
