Dear friends,

There is a great learning opportunity coming up soon. It will be right here in our district. It is the Ministry Academy designed for those wanting to grow in their ability to serve Christ and his people through the UMC. It will be of interest to some older youth, young adults, lay ministers, lay speakers, local pastors and others you might identify in your sphere of influence. We hope you can come and bring some of your friends with you.

See the enclosed flyer and bulletin insert draft for your use with all the details.

If this works for your schedule I will hope to see you there.

Dr. Robinson is known for her understanding of United Methodist Theology and History and her winsome, engaging personality. Together her gifts bring audiences a stimulating learning experience.

She will be encouraging participants to ask themselves some questions, such as:

What does it mean to be a United Methodist? and Why has the Methodist/Wesleyan movement been so successful around the world over the past 300 years?

Participants will explore some basics about the history and beliefs that have shaped our identity. Most of all, we will focus on how United Methodists understand and live the faith journey as followers of Jesus Christ.
