2-10-08 YOUTH AFTER PROM PARTY:   The Albright, Asbury, First, Kaw and St. Paul United Methodist Church agreed to help  the After Prom Committee with donations of at least $1000(average of $200 per church).  The Ponca City Highschool Prom is 11:30PM on April 26th to 2:30AM on the 27th at the Ponca City American Legion building at South Avenue and Elm Streets. There will be  many door prizes and activities, pizzas, cookies, and soft drinks .  No licquor is  allowed. This will help our youth have a  safe and fun  place  to go after the Prom.   Chaperones will be parents.    Info=Julie Brown, Chairperson   and Win Frasier.

Rock Solid Worship, a new experience for the youth of Ponca City is about to hit!!!!!  Rock Solid Worship, will take place the third Saturday every month, alternating through each United Methodist Church in Ponca City.  The first Worship experience will be Saturday, April 19th at 5:30 p.m.  Albright United Methodist Church located at 128 South Palm will be hosting this service, and serving the meal.  At 5:30, the activities will begin with Asbury United Methodist Church providing the games.  A snack dinner will be provided by Albright’s.  Then St. Paul’s will be organizing the worship experience with the Oklahoma State University Fellowship of Christian Athletics Praise Band and Speakers.  John Talley, FCA coordinator of O.S.U., said they will bring giveaways to the worship service, and speakers Billy Lewis, OSU Football player, and Ryan Freeman, OSU Wrestler to give their testimony and play in the Praise Band.  

The Youth of the United Methodist Churches in Ponca City have developed a group called COLLIDE.  The main purpose of this group is to accomplish more together, than possible as individual churches.  The churches involved in Collide are Asbury United Methodist located on West Liberty Street, Albright United Methodist located on South Palm Street, and St. Paul’s United Methodist located on North Pecan.  Each individual church has its own unique youth program, however, together they plan on ministering to the Ponca City Community in a variety of avenues.  This summer, Collide is working on bringing the Extreme Tour to Ponca City for a weekend of great skating, testimonies, and music!Grades 7-12 are invited to attend Rock Solid Worship on Saturday, April 19th at Albright United Methodist Church located at 128 South Palm here in Ponca City.  The games will begin at 5:30, dinner at 6:15, with Worship at 7:00.
