We received a letter indicating that donations are down and they really need extra help at the moment. (A copy of the letter is on the bulletin board next to the Pastor’s office.)
Here is some information about the Red Bird Mission School:
Red Bird Mission was founded in 1921 in the southeastern corner of Kentucky to provide education and Christian evangelism ministries to residents of the area. The Mission was started by the Evangelical Church on a small piece of property, at the confluence of Cow Fork and the Red Bird River
The Red Bird Missionary Conference (in southeastern Kentucky) is one of three missionary conferences in the United States, the other two are: Oklahoma Indian Missionary Conference and Alaska Missionary Conference. A missionary conference serves in an area where local resources cannot meet the needs; therefore mission support from the whole Church is necessary.
