THE FOLLOWING NEEDS AND MINISTRIES WERE DISCUSSED AT THE FEBRUARY 10TH PC UMCHURCHES CLUSTER MEETING:
QUARTERLY ALL UMCHURCH ACTIVITIES Such as a summer picnic. Offering taken would be used by the next quarter's planning committee.
FOOD NEEDS: Add Meals in addition to the Monday through Thursday Friendship Feast evening meals. Have a United Methodist Food Pantry, Have a United Methodist Angel Meals Distribution Center.
CLOTHING NEEDS: Have a United Methodist Clothing Room,
HOUSING NEEDS: Buy, Build, and or Coordinate Low Rental Housing. Members volunteer on Habitat for Humanity work. Have Repair services for people with homes.
RELATIONAL: Have Methodist Meetings for singles, for those divorced or widowed. Services to help the lonely elderly,
HEALTH: Have Methodist Alcoholic Anonymous group, Gambler's Anonymous, Exercise and weight control groups, Survey needs of elderly and handicapped. Make our churches and other places handicapped accessible.
GROUPS AND SUPPORT FOR SINGLE PARENT, GRANDPARENTS RAISING GRANDKIDS,
SCHOOL CHILDREN: Have United Methodist churches adopt school like Albright works with Lincoln and Asbury works with Liberty. lst UMChurch might adopt West Middle School - after school activities.
YOUTH: Take over support of the After Prom Party . Have quarterly Youth Meetings coordinated by a Ponca City United Methodist "Youth Ministry Team" . Films on Sex and family, Professions, Drugs, Alcohol, Programs to involve parents of teens.
