BICYCLE REGISTRATION: The Ponca City Police Department (200 E. Oklahoma  767-0370 ) has free registration  of bicycles and a Police Registration Sticker  to go on each of your bicycles. Enter the North Door of the Police station and go to the Records  Office, on your left.  You will need the following information: Owner's Name , Date of Birth, Address, Phone, School, Mothers- name, date of birth,work address, phone; Father's-name, date of birth, work address, phone;   Each Bicycle's = Make, Model, Frame color, seat color, handlebar color, speeds,  whether male or female,  whether hand or coaster break , and Serial Number. You will received a  1" x 2" black and  white sticker to place on the frame under your bibycle seat.  If the bicycle is picked up, you will be contacted.    Wthout the registration tag,  bicycles that are picked up are  taken to the City Dog Pound on South Pecan Road, and may be sold at their yearly unclaimed bicycle auction.

BIKE TRAILS:   Ponca City Parks and Recreation (  905 W. Hartford  767-0430) has two bicycle  trails marked:  (1) Trail one starts at the Pioneer Woman's Museum and goes to the Marland Mansion by the pond and Unity Recreation Center through Woodland Park and ends at Turner and Hartford.   (2)Trail two starts at Soldiers Park at Seventh and Highland and goes South on 7th Street to Standing Bear Park on Hiway 60. 

OKLAHOMA FREEWHEEL is a week long bike ride in June that often stops for the night in Ponca City's Soldiers Park on 5th Street.  For information phone 762-5453.

BICYCLE CLUB:   Cherokee Strip Bicycle Club  in Ponca City.   Information and training for  the annual June week long bicycle ride in Oklahoma called "Oklahoma Freewheel".  Information=762-5453.   January l, 2008 they meet on Thursdays at 6:30PM in the Ponca City Library. 

SOONER STATE BMX RACE TRACK  is at South Avenue and Ash Streets.    It is open from sun up to sun down, and it is free except  for those AMERICAN BIKERS ASSOCIATION BMX members  who participatein the Tuesday Night 7-9PM ABABMX practice time and the  ABABMX  races held Sundays with registration at 1-2:30PM.  All ABABMX racers must be members of the American Bicycle Association ($45 Membership fee).  For classes and requirements for male and  female, all ages , 3 levels of skill(Novice, Intermediate and Expert) and size of bike,  or to enter  ABA BMX races go to www.soonerstatebmx.com, or contact Ponca City Track operator: Matthew Grudowski  1-580-401-0055.  ABABMX members practice on Tuesday nights from 7-9pm  and race Sunday afternoons January through December .  The track is open at all other times free of charge to anyone who will obey the following rules:  1. Helmates worn at all times, 2. Wear long sleve shirts and long  pants any time you are on the track.  3.No bikes with pegs are permitted on the track,.   4.The Track is closed when wet conditions exist,  5.  Do not walk on berms or on the sides of jumps,  6.Must follow rules of competition set by the American Bicycle Association (www.ababmx.com, P.O. Box 718 , Chandler, Arizona 85244,  Phone l-480-961-1903,    7. No drugs, alcohol or Tobacco allowd at the Track.   8. Use Track during daylight hours,     9. Do not change any jump or bern.  10.
