The Ponca City Art Center, 819 East Central is open for FREE VIEWING OF THEIR DISPLAYS Wednesday through Sunday from 1-5. Phone 765-9746. (donations accepted). Classes with fees are held throughout the year. Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8AM-4PM studios ( where painters can work, share ideas, techniquies and knowledge) are available for a fee of $50 plus PCArt Association membership fees of $15 a year. Fine Arts Festival is held at the PCArt Center in September (17-18 in 2005). It is open to ll artists l8 yeaers and older. The art catagories are oil/acrylic, watercolor/acrylic, graphics(pasteol,pen and in, pencil, print making), sculpture(bronz,stone,wood,glass), other 3-D art(wood-Jewelry), pottery, and photography. Slides, juring fee and entry form must be postmarked by July 10. Awards in each catagory are lst=$200, 2nd=$125, 3rd=$75, Best in Show $300 etc. Information=Donna Secrest at 765-9746.

ArtsPlace at 4th and Grand is a Private Non-Profit Art Gallery which you can visit without fee. They are committeed to art, artists and audiences. They also have free art appreciation classes from time to time. Watch the newspaper for these and other activities. $50 to $1000 memberships available. Ponca City Public Library at 5th and Grand Avenue has the Matzene Art Collection of Chinese and Birger Sandzi'n art on permanent display as well as books, videos, etc free with library card, which is free. They offer various art and craft classes during the year. Phone 767-0345
Wa-Sha-Be Art Galary Free Admission but donations accepted. It is located at 203 North First Street in Ponca City. Itis a non-profit organization designed to provide contemporary Native American artists with an opportunity to exhibit and sell there works. Open since November of 2004 on Thursdays from 10-3, Fridays and Saturdays from Noon to 5PM the gallery offers classes in beadwork, silversmithing, leather work, pottery. Infomation=762-8606

Jewelry Making:The Rough and Tumble Rock and Gem Club meets on the 4th Tuesdays at 7PM in room 207 of the Albright Unied Methodis Church at 128 South Palm. Everyone interested in learning to make jewelry and gems are invited. Info=Don at 762-5287
