BOATING

 Oklahoma Boating Rules= See Department of Public Safety, Lake Patrol Div. p.o.Box 11415, 3600 North King Avenue, Oklahoma City, Ok. 73136 405-425-2143 A. Boats must be registered annually-and display certificate of number on the boat. B. l life vest per person, C. lights required between sunset and sunrise. (D)Fire extinguiser if carry flamable substances. E. Motor Boats must have mufflers, backfire arrestors on inboards except diesels, proper ventilation. F. All vessels must carry a sounding device, including a bell if over 26 feet.

Yearly Oklahoma State Boat Permits are available at the State Tag Offices 2104 N. l4th in Ponca City   phone765-8711.

Ponca Lake  year and day Permits for boating  are available from Ponca City Park Office at 905 W. Hartford 767-0430 or from Park Ranger at Ponca Lake. Dock Rental at Ponca Lake available.
