Free Bingo and Popcorn twice a month. Sign up for free computer, dancing, cooking, writing, craft, book review and other classes. Operated by Ponca City Parks and Recreation in cooperation with Wheatheart Nutrition. In case of bad weather, closing of Wheatheart Nutrition or the Senior Center will be broadcast on WBBZ 1230 AM Radio and Ponca City Cablevision Channel 22. The PC Sr Center is operated by the Ponca City Parks and Recreation Dept.
1-1-2008 FREE Transportation for Seniors to the Ponca City Sr Center is provided by the Parks and Recreation Department of Ponca City = Monday through Friday on one of two Senior Center routes. Route-one picks up Seniors starting at 8:45AM, and Route-two picks up starting at 10AM. Seniors are taken home from the Senior Center in a bus that leaves the center at 12:15PM, and in a second bus that leaves the Senior Center at 1:30PM (or after afternoon activities). (Closed President's Day=February l5th). To ride the bus phone 718-0444 Monday through Friday. Give the dispatcher your first name and address and say which routes you want to ride on. You can schedule a standing appointment . Please be ready 10 minutes before your pick up time. Phone if you want to cancel a pickup. Seniors may also ride at other times for $1.50 for each one way trip to or from the Senior Center at 319 West Grand. Info=718-0444.
Ponca City Parks and Recreation Dept. also operates YOUR PONCA CITY UNITY RECREATION CENTER 1908 E. Woodland Road, operated by the PC Parks and Recreation Services. It has free activities on Monday and Wednesday 1-3PM Sr Citzen Bridge Parties, Indoor Walking 6:30am -3pm Monday and Wednesday, 6:30AM-11:30AM Tues,Thurs,Friday; Basketball on Monday and Wednesday till 3PM. .
