Art, Library, Multimedia, Museum, Photography,
ART: On the 2nd floor hallwaywalls are displayed portrates of important leaders in

the Methodist Church. In the Sanctuary there are stained glass windows and shields

 of the 12 apostles.  There are artistic bullegin boards at the church entrances and in

the halls.

LIBRARY: On the 1st  floor we have a well stocked Christian Library with books, video

 tapes, and other items.

MUSEUM: On the second floor floor we have two rooms exclusively set aside as a museum

 of pictures and artifacts preserved by our Church Historian. Persons doing

geneological work about relatives who have attended this church will find this room

 facinating. The Albright UMC Museum is open by appointment.

Photography-Video: Photographers and videographers help us

  with this web site, produce the digical and film pictures for the

  bulletin boards, directories, newsletter, publicity and produce our

  TV Program on Wednesday evenings on Ponca City Cable Channel

  11 at 6PM.

Compassion/Mercy Ministries

Our CARE COMMITEE  visits people in the hospital.

COMMUNION  is taken to shut-ins on the lst Sundays of the month.

SENIOR CITIZENS:  We have two Sunday School Classes for Senior Citizens.  On our web site, http://.www.albrightumc.org  we have a page listing activities of interest to Seniors for the year ahead   by Calendar dates and by interests  called "SrActivities", and a second page called "Senior Citizens" for resources for Senior Citizens available to our citizens. Many of our members volunteer through RSVP in the community. At the Ponca City Senior Center at 319 West Grand our members serve meals, lead exercise programs, and help with games and activities.    press here for information and pictures about our Senior Citizen Activities.  

Weekend Retreats,  Service Projects,  Mission Trips  

FRIENDSHIP FEAST : 4th Tuesday of Month we serve supper  at 5:30PM to anyone who needs a meal  at the First Christian Church.  Other churches and organizations serve other days of the month Monday through Thursday. 

FOOD ASSISTANTCE:  We work with the New Emergency Assistance Agency on North lst Street and provide them food for distribution.  One item of food is suggested.  Food donations are put in a  basket in the West Entrance Vestibule. 

NEIGHBORHOOD CLEANUP:  We encourage eveyone to make our neighboroods beautiful, by taking a litter sack with you when you go for a walk.  Senior Citizens can turn in their monthly time spent on such walks  to the  Retired Senior Volunteer Program, whose hours worked improves funding for Senior Citizen programs . 

RECYCLE AND DONATIONS:  Throughout the year  we receive donations   including  glasses  for Lions Sight program,  Cell Phones for Seniors program run by RSVP,  Can labels for Missions., Greeting cards  for missions,  Articles for the Domestic Violence Center, and United Methodist Women's  Programs,   school supplies for Lincoln Grade School. 

NEIGHBORHOOD COOKOUT AND FUN DAY :   For the  neighborhood around Albright United Methodist Church, a cookout and fun day with food, music, games and activities with prizes, door prizes, community speakers, and  community pamphets. 

EXERCISE PROGRAMS:  We have 12:15-12:45PM  Monday-Friday  "Walk the Halls", Tuesday and Thursday=1:30PM Chair Exercises, 

HANDYMAN SERVICE:  Is available for jobs around the homes of our members and others with needs.

Revival/Renewal Services :  usually held in September and October.


Television Ministry
We share Christ with the Ponca City Community by Televising our 10:30AM Sunday

Worship services and showing them at 6PM over the Ponca City Cable TV Network.

ALBRIGHT PROVIDES MEETING AND ACTIVITY SPACE FOR

MANY GROUPS AND INDIVIDUALS:

The Dorcas Quilters meet from 10AM to 1PM each Tuesday in their own  room.

We have a children's 7 ft and an adult's  10 ft basketball goals in our North Parking lot

    that groups and individuals enjoy using from 8AM to 10PM.

The Rough and Tumble Rock and Gem Club meets at 7PM on the 4th Thursdays

  in our building.  For information phone 762-5287 or 765-5854..

The 58 Club meets in our building. .

The TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) group sometimes  meets in our building. For more

  information phone  Betty Flower at 765-5448 or Mary Dexter at 765-8505..

Piano and Organ teachers and students use our instruments. 

We have a computer in the Library for individuals to use.
